The gentilic of the citizens of the United States of America is Americans because the short name of the USA is America. People from the United Mexican States are called Mexicans because the shortname of UMS is Mexico. People from the Plurinational State of Bolivia are called Bolivians because the shortname of PSB is Bolivia. They’re not called Plurinational Statians.

@7Slate I see so many posts for the rest of the world. No offense is taken from this here American. I’m only guessing that most of the products developed are in some stage of infancy so that they aren’t able to be offered globally yet. Just a stab in the dark. My prediction is that the time will come for Google’s presence and ability to be everywhere! Just a thought.
@gpgaal Agreed. and Agreed. No crushing here. However, once a great idea is formed, competition takes hold and it’s on. Been there done that. So I’ve seen lots of Groupon-type groupies jump on the bandwagon. I’m just surprised that Google didn’t call it Groogle. Or Goopon. or Goupon. There are just so many coupon groupies around that Google will take it all on. I’m not saying it’s bad, I’m just saying I’m glad. I love Gooooooog.
